The origin of our name is Greek, the meaning is colourful. We are working to serve for a colourful non profit society. We do it by initiating, testing, cooperating, adapting, delivering methods, know-how, good practices, services.
Cromo – as indicated by its name – works with a wide, polychromatic spectrum of staff. Trainers have various qualifications – from social sciences through management to natural sciences – and have various types of professional experiences, thus competent colleagues work in training and other programs with our partners and training participants.
The Cromo Foundation was created in 2002 October by consultants who have been involved in the Citizen Advise and Information Centre programme, a joint British – Hungarian program aiming at adapting the British model of civil information and advisory services in Hungary between 2000 and 2002. After this successful co-operation, trainers of this programme decided to utilize the experience of this project and further serve the Hungarian non-profit sector as well as citizens by providing professional and management assistance. Cromo consultants strongly believe in networking and local capacity building initiatives as base of empowerment of local community.
