The Winning Projects

1.“Green Future – Youth Climate Action in the Siklós District”

The project consists of two main components:

  • Pilot projects at the University of Pécs, promoting circular economy principles and recycling practices.
  • Sustainability programs in local schools and community events, engaging young people and local communities. The project aims to involve at least 250 young people, raise their environmental awareness, encourage active participation in climate protection, and generate tangible results and new collaborations in the region.

 2. “Inner Gardens, Living Walls”

This project creates small green gardens and living walls in institutions that support disadvantaged children. The ideas and organizational work are led by young participants, fostering community responsibility and proactive responses to local climate challenges. It promotes sustainable solutions through creative design, community programs, and action planning.

 3. “Garden for Everyone”

This project establishes an experimental sapling garden where students grow heat-adapted plants in two different locations under varying conditions, gaining horticultural knowledge. They also develop their skills through study trips and learn about the grant application process, preparing them to confidently take on similar challenges in the future.

KAMALÉ – Youth Climate Actions offers a unique opportunity for young people to take a leading role in addressing local climate challenges within their communities. KAMALÉ invites young leaders to apply for support in implementing climate action projects that tackle local environmental issues and engage young people with fewer opportunities. Applications must be submitted in partnership with a registered civil society organization.

In addition to financial support, selected applicants will receive mentoring and guidance from climate and community development experts. Through this support, they will gain new skills to ensure the success and sustainability of their projects.

By participating, young people contribute to solving the urgent issue of climate change, gain valuable leadership experience, build networks with like-minded peers, and develop skills that will benefit their future careers.
