Main Activities

The “Green Future – Youth Climate Action in Siklós District” project consists of two parts:

  1. Pilot projects at the University of Pécs promoting the circular economy and recycling.

  2. Sustainability programs in local schools and events, engaging young people and communities. The project aims to involve at least 250 youth, increase their environmental awareness, encourage active participation in climate protection, and create tangible results and new collaborations in the region.

The “Inner Gardens, Living Walls” project builds small green gardens and living walls in institutions supporting disadvantaged children, based on ideas and organizational work from young participants. It promotes community responsibility and active responses to local climate challenges, encouraging sustainable solutions through creative design, community programs, and action planning.

The “Garden for Everyone” project establishes an experimental sapling garden where students cultivate heat-adapted plants in two different locations under varying conditions, gaining horticultural knowledge. They also expand their skills through study trips and learn about the grant application process, preparing them to confidently take on similar challenges in the future.
