The DCYDE! project aims to showcase and promote best practices on how educators and stakeholders can use digital tools and online communication to create hybrid Global Citizenship Education (GCE) learning environments. These environments act as living laboratories for sustainable global development, engaging young people both in the EU and beyond—especially in the Global South.
All results will be published not only in the languages of the participating countries, but also in English and Spanish to reach the widest possible audience in Europe and worldwide. The activities will have a positive impact on the language skills and media literacy of all target groups.
Key Activities
We’re developing a joint, digitally-supported Global Citizenship Education (GCE) methodology to be used in non-formal education in Hungary.
We’re creating over 40 digital tools and methods designed with gender equality and non-discrimination in mind.
We’re training NGO staff and youth workers to confidently use these tools in their daily work.
And we won’t just wave goodbye after the training – mentoring, experience-sharing, and community learning will all be part of the journey.
A digital platform and mobile app will host all the materials in one accessible place.
We’re launching a nationwide campaign to reach as many young people (aged 10–30) and educators as possible.
In Hungary, we aim to involve around 200–300 young people in non-formal GCE activities.
All results will be shared on the DCYDE platform so others can learn from and build on our work.
We’re diving into an exciting international community planning journey, packed with online and in-person meetups with partner organisations and representatives from the Global South.
We’re developing a full educational concept, a Global Citizenship Education digital international toolkit, and a practical guide for teachers, youth leaders, and community organisers who are passionate about bringing global responsibility into their work.
The international training course for trainers has already taken place, with our colleagues actively participating – now they’re looking forward to the first training sessions.
This August, we’ll launch the very first round of training for young leaders. Follow us on social media, sign up for our newsletter, and make sure you don’t miss this opportunity! The training will run from August to December 2025.
